Midweek Mumblings, not about the budget.

Royal Baby, drowning Bunnies, missing inflatable snowmen,  all washed down with the toughest budget we have endured in a while.

it seemed to me that the news papers and media have been latching on hungrily to safe and heartwarming stories for the last few days.

An inflatable snowman was reported missing in Wexford only to turn up safe and sound to the relief of the townspeople.  one wonders where a nine-foot inflatable can hide.  was it simply a case of the snowman deciding to take an extended break before the madness of the holiday season where he will no doubt be over worked and under appreciated.

meanwhile the media unearthed a story from last year about a homeless  man risked his life for his homeless rabbit.  risking low temperatures, John Byrne selflessly threw himself into the Liffey to rescue his beloved pet.

and of course little royal rompers will be the theme for the next six months, as the public await the next royal generation. the excitement of people all over the world at this news has astounded me. and of course only a member of the royal family can get away with being hospitalised for morning sickness.

as I write this I have avoided watching RTE and all news about the budget.  I, like the media have preferred to fill my conversations with nice happy heartwarming stories, because I, as they know that the rest of the week and weekend, will be filled with analysis, breakdowns, debates and pounding of Michael Noonans 2013 Speech.

so I want to wish you all a Happy Wednesday, and remember the bunny when you are getting cross with the government.
